I'm gettin' TATTED!!!


Sooo... I'm not much on Tattoo's... It's VERY RARE for me to see one that I like... and rarer still for me to see one that I WANT!

Welll...it's HAPPENED!!! I saw this tattoo and fell in LOVVVVVVVE... and .... Now I'm going to be getting TATTED SATURDAY!!! Wooo hooo

... now of course, this tattoo is up the side of a very skinny chick... and we ALL KNOW that I am NOT that chick... lmaooo If I were to place my tat in the SAME PLACE You would miss half of it do to... ummm... let us call it... FOLDING lmaooo

MINE will be up the outside of my right upper arm with the top lily opening onto the shoulder. The bottom stems will be made into treble clefs... :) :) :) It's going to be LARGE... going from elbow to shoulder... and I may add a large lily... (3 lilies)...

I know FOR SURE that it won't go past the bend of my elbow... because I want to be able to wear 3/4 length shirts w/o the tat showing (for business)... Wooo hoooo... I'm excited...

What sucks is that just TONIGHT I found another one that I ALSO like... I'm so indecisive that it's causing me to vacillate now!! lol... Here's THAT picture...

Sooo I've got a couple of days to make my decision... Ahhhhh... lol

TOoooo-Morrow Tomorrow... I'm PIERCING Tomorrow... it's only a day AAAWAYYY!!


To the left you see the hardware that will be IMPLANTED into my face TOMORROW! It's called a microdermal implant or a facial anchor piercing... They pierce the skin and then implant that bottom piece (w/ all the holes) into your body wherever you'd like... afterwhich they screw in the ball... the entire process takes between 20 and 30 minutes and LOOKS very painful...

I know you're thinking, JAE!!! You're NUTS!!! But nooooo i'm not! I'm soo excited and scared all @ the same time... The last piercing I had completed was my "Marilyn" (above my lip). Since then, I've searched and searched for a new piercing... I'm so particular w/ what I want on my face that I hadn't found anything... until today...

I will have mine placed beside my right eye... just to the side... (that's a pic of what it will probably look like... except the gem will be larger... and there will only be one... )... I'm so excited!!!!!!

The only think that REALLY bothers me, is that when I want to completely remove it, I can't just take it out as is the case w/ my other piercings... I'll have to go have it CUT out either by my piercer or a physician... You can change the hardware (jewel, ball, etc) but the BASE won't come out unless it's CUT out...

... Those holes in the base are important to this entire process... They're there SPECIFICALLY to anchor the piercing into my face... the skin is supposed to grow IN BETWEEN those holes therefore keeping it in place... it's called a semi-permanent body modification...

To the RIGHT you'll see Monica... She has this modification as well... (look closely to the outside of her eye... that little bead of light is her piercing)... I had NO CLUE she had this until AFTER I'd already decided to have it done! It looks SO cute on her... I only hope it does me justice... :)

Ok, I'm rambling... but... ya know... I can't WAIT! When I leave my current job for another ( after I finish college, etc)... I'll probably go have it cut out for a more professional look... but HONESTLY, it doesn't look 'freakish' at all... Piercing when done CORRECTLY and in MODERATION can actually COMPLIMENT the natural aesthetic... :)

T-minus 12.5hrs til 5k!



OK!! SOOO It's the moment that I've been preparing for (kinda)-- Tomorrow @ 8am I will be lining up for the Anthem 5k in Louisville KY...

I'm SOOOO SUPER EXCITED!! It's not that far (5k is 3.1miles)-- and I'm not doing it to WIN (Because I won't)-- I'm doing it because I've never been able to do things like this...

I was (and still am) the kid who's in the WORST shape. Always winded... NOW, i'm just a little LESS winded... and DETERMINED to do a mini byNEXT YEAR... Gotta start somewhere right?!

5k-- Then in 2 weeks... 10k (maybe... maybe not)--- then doubtfully 10mile 2 weeks later... I mean... I don't wanna die but i wanna do this...

BTW-- update on dieting... I'm down 30lbs now (It SEEMS like I've been stagnate for the last few weeks... only because I've GAINED about 5-7lbs and had to RE-LOSE those)-- I actually lost 5lbs last week...

If we put end to end all the weight I've lost... gained... and had to lose again... It would be 42lbs. BUT-- oh well...

Wish me luck tomorrow! It'll be fun!!!

** I Fought the gym and the GYM won **




OKKKKKkkkkkkk day one of working out and ummm yeah not only did the GYM kick my ass but my new runners picked up where the gym left off. Here's a word to the wise... DO NOT wear new runners until you BREAK THEM IN! I have a blister on the instep of my left foot and right on the achilles tendon area of my RIGHT! OUCH!


So... I did about 2 miles in about 30 minutes... not the BEST pace but also not the worst... I've not been to the gym in MONNNNNNTHS... @ least 6 of them... lol and it was tough... I'm just taking it very slow the first week or so... I definately don't wanna get hurt in the beginning... and hopefully all will come together.


... now the hard part...

THE DIET


The problem that I have when trying to eat 'right' is NOT EATING ENOUGH. I count calories like a BEAST and come up short almost EVERY TIME. Today when I left work I'd only had about 375 calories! I'm aiming for 1800-2000 a day... which should leave me at about a 3000 calorie deficit daily (It takes ALOT of calories to move my body... because of my size... which, right now is a PLUS and will equate to initial lbs dropping FAAST).


When I got home I tried to make up for that deficit by having some pinto beans ( 350 cals ) and some baked chicken (It was a very small piece-- so I'll count it as 300 cals as well )... I'm STILL at a deficit-- so what do I do? I grab some ICECREAM-- and eat 300 cals of THAT! LMAO


not a good look-- but STILL not at 2000 cals. But ya know what... I'm done for the night. I won't eat after 8pm. I now have to try to get down the rest of my water for the day... and I'll be set...


Grr... Tomorrow is pilates and armwork... soooooo that should give my muscles a good chance to stretch out and recoup...
